WE HAVE BEEN WITH YOU SINCE 1938

TAAG has been around for over 70 years and has consistently demonstrated its ability to innovate. This is a company with a glorious past and a bright future ahead.

2010

2010

TAAG is authorised to operate in the entirety of Europe's air space with its modern fleet of Boeing 777 and 737 aircraft;

2009

TAAG is still making history, improving connections between Angola and the rest of the world, opening new routes to Europe, Dubai and China. For its total commitment to prove its adherence to the highest international standards, TAAG is awarded with IATA's IOSA certification;

This day is recorded in the world's aviation history books due to the fact that the Boeing 777-200ER broke a world record in its maiden voyage by flying from Seattle to Luanda in 16 hours and 40 seconds without refuelling. The manufacturer also broke a record by delivering five new aircraft simultaneously.

1997

On July 8, TAAG acquires its first BOEING 747, which is christened “Cidade do Kuito”, in honour of that city's martyred people;

1990

1986

TAAG hits the one million passengers mark. With the abrupt oil price drop and the deterioration of Angola's political and military situation, the company makes an extraordinary effort to respond to the country's needs. The nearly complete halt in road and rail transportation means that TAAG is the only reliable connection between Angola's main cities, a fact that makes the company's 5,000 employees very proud;

1980

1980

After acquiring the new Boeing 707, TAAG begins a period of rapid growth. TAAG's wings fly for more than thirty thousand hours over 18 million kilometers, while expanding the company's domestic and international network;

The era of the jet airplane begins with the arrival of the first Boeing 737 to Angola;
