Customs Information

Customs Information
It is the responsibility of Customs to control goods entering and exiting Angola, including luggage carried by travelers (passengers and crew). For this reason there is a double channel system for clearing and checking passengers' luggage. They are designated as Red and Green Channels.
Red Channel- Goods to Declare
Travelers carrying luggage with goods subject to payment of duties and other custom tariffs must voluntarily and consciously declare them to the customs officer on duty or simply go through the red channel. If you are unsure, go through the red channel and query a customs agent. Inaccurate or false declarations are liable to penalties stipulated under Article 12 of Executive decree no. 27/02 of July 5.
Green Channel- Nothing to Declare
Travelers who do not have anything to declare should walk through the green channel.
