Stop by Frankfurt’s Christmas Market in the winter to do some shopping, immersed in a festive and traditional setting.

CHRISTMAS MARKET

When the winter cold is strongest, Frankfurt’s Christmas Market is one of the main interest points in the Old City (Altstadt).

Stands are traditionally ornamented, people eat typical foods and drink hot wine (Glühwein) while Christmas choirs spread their cheerful tunes. This is, indeed, the best setting to do your Christmas shopping!

This is one of the oldest Christmas markets in Germany, going back to 1393. If you visit, be sure not to miss the Christmas tree there, it’s the tallest in Germany!
