The event Festas do Mar (in English, Sea Fest) is a century-old tradition. Its first edition was in 1962, and it has since come a long way, improving and growing a bigger audience with each passing year. Nowadays, it is the most significant event of Namib, and one of the most anticipated events in Angola.

Visit Namib during the Festas do Mar and watch the kart and cross-country races, athletic competitions and other sporting tournaments. Be awed by the ship parade, watch the local art competitions for children and enjoy the many other activities that this traditional and fun-filled festival has to offer every year, during the month of March.
