The museum is in a nineteenth-century building and currently has 5 showrooms.


The locals are known as cabindas or “phiotes”. The spoken dialect is Ibinda. It consists of the municipalities of Cabinda, provincial headquarters, Cacongo, Buco Zau and Belize.
