Wake up to the taste of typical Nigerian food with a delicious and nutritious akara breakfast.

Akara is a Nigerian gastronomic speciality, already exported to other countries, not only in Africa but also in Brazil. In northern Nigeria, it is also known as kosai. They are usually eaten for breakfast but are a snack that can be enjoyed throughout the day.

What does it consist of? They are appetizing fried dumplings with a dough of peeled beans, onions and peppers, which can be accompanied with chilli powder or spicy tomato sauce. Beans are a widely used ingredient in African cuisine and very nutritious for a consistent breakfast, to give more energy for a day trip. Give the palate a typically Nigerian flavour with this tasty little akara!
