On July, the Province of Cunene celebrates its official foundation with a festival in Ondjiva.
On July 10, 1970 The province of Cunene was officially established created. At Ondjiva, the region’s capital, this date is celebrated yearly with a an official celebration and festival. The programme includes several events within the city and in the surrounding area: street events, music and folklore performances, and a large-scale agriculture and cattle fair that attracts citizens and businesspeople, both local and from neighbouring Namibia.
