THE LAND OF THE GIANT SABLE ANTELOPE

The Luando Natural Reserve in the province of Malange is the place where you find the charismatic giant sable antelope. Malange is increasingly becoming an unavoidable tourist destination, whether because of the city's strong culture, its teeming wildlife or its lavish landscapes.

Besides the giant steep antelope — which is Angola's symbol — Malange's animal wildlife has an impressive variety! Leopards, jaguars, buffalos, crocodiles, wild boars, antelopes, lions, hyenas and pangolins are just some of the creatures you'll get to meet in the province of Malange.

GO DEEP INTO THE CULTURE OF MALANGE

Pay homage at the tombs of Queen Ginga and Ngola Mbandi, travel to the Black Rocks at Pungo Andongo to get acquainted with myths, legends and traditions or feel the power of Nature at the Kabalo Rapids.

The Kalandula Waterfalls are this region's symbol and the place offers quite, with water falling from a height of 500 metres.

Malange is a land where legend and history intermingle and where people are eager to receive visitors and share their rich history. Don't forget to taste local dishes such as the corn funje— you'll surely want to ask for seconds!
